In their 43 year history, they’ve appeared in only two Stanley Cup Finals. With this being their second appearance, the Washington Capitals made the most of it and finished off the Vegas Golden Knights in five games. Continue reading

Not since 1997-98 has the NHL had back-to-back Stanley Cup champions. The Pittsburgh Penguins have won their fifth title in as many tries. They are quickly becoming a mainstay in the sport and it can all be traced back to when they drafted Sidney Crosby.  Continue reading

2014 Stanley Cup Champions

They were nearly swept in the first round. Their backs were against the wall with their crosstown rivals. And they had to defeat the defending Stanley Cup champions. Now imagine if the Los Angeles Kings had won the Stanley Cup last year. This would be their third consecutive Cup title and the first such feat since 1983 when the New York Islanders had finished off their fourth consecutive championship.  Continue reading
