NFC North

Standard

1. Detroit Lions

If they get off to a better start this season, they should run away with this division.

2. Minnesota Vikings

Last year wasn’t a fluke in that they remain a playoff contender, but they are not a 13-win team going into this season.

3. Green Bay Packers

No more Aaron Rodgers at quarterback. It’s time to see if head coach Matt LaFleur can stay afloat.

4. Chicago Bears

They are going all in on QB Justin Fields. He has plenty of targets to throw to now without having to rush for over 1,000 yards again.

One Year Turnaround

I certainly did not have the Jacksonville Jaguars making the playoffs this season. As I’m sure most Jaguars fans (if there are any) didn’t have them making it either. Yet, I did expect them to be markedly better than the previous two years in which they had 1 and 3 wins respectively. QB Trevor Lawrence was in a lose-lose situation last year with no help in front of him on the offensive line and a lack of playmakers to get the ball to. Those two things have greatly improved and show why he was selected number one overall. The defense has shown vast improvement as well with the Jaguars winning 7 of their last 9 games to clinch the porous AFC North division title. That’s another reason as to why the Jaguars have improved so quickly. Playing the Texans, Colts and Titans twice every season will do that. Regardless it’s good to see fresh faces in the playoffs and the Jaguars fit that mold to a tee.

Can They Shock The Football World?

There is a possibility that the Jacksonville Jaguars could be in the playoffs by winning their division. It’s no secret that the AFC South has been awful this year. With the Jaguars dominating win against Tennessee this past week, they are in position to clinch the division title. This doesn’t mean that the Jaguars are going to win the rest of their games. They play host to the Dallas Cowboys and play the Jets in New York. But they also play the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans for their last two games of the season. If the Jaguars do shock the football world, you heard it here first.
