NFC South

Standard

1. New Orleans Saints

A greater emphasis on running the ball meant the defense wasn’t going to be exposed to long drives by the opponent.

2. Atlanta Falcons

Two simple fixes; Julio Jones needs at least 8 touchdown catches and don’t ever make Vic Beasley a linebacker.

3. Carolina Panthers

Hiring Norv Turner as the offensive coordinator should fix all of their problems on offense.

4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This is most likely the last hurrah for the current staff and possibly QB Jameis Winston. Continue reading

NFC North

Standard

1. Minnesota Vikings

They invested over $80 million in Kirk Cousins and the Vikings expect a nice return.

2. Detroit Lions

A new voice on the sidelines might just be what this team needs to finally win consistently.

3. Green Bay Packers

As evidenced by last years performance, this team needs QB Aaron Rodgers to be healthy the entire year.

NFC East

Standard

1. Philadelphia Eagles

If they weren’t in a stacked conference, they would be easy favorites to repeat.

1. Los Angeles Chargers

Sure, they play in the smallest stadium in the league, but they almost clinched a playoff spot without overwhelming support.

2. Kansas City Chiefs

The time has come to see if the Chiefs heavy investment in QB Patrick Mahomes pays off.

3. Oakland Raiders

The return of ‘Chuckie’ aka Jon Gruden has Raider Nation abuzz.

4. Denver Broncos

John Elway is trying to salvage a broken roster with another veteran QB not named Peyton Manning. Continue reading

AFC South

Standard

1. Jacksonville Jaguars

With most of the league trending towards lighting up the scoreboard, they went the opposite direction and almost made it to the Super Bowl.

2. Tennessee Titans

A surprising Wild Card victory last year for some reason led to a coaching change, but most of what was built remains intact.

3. Houston Texans

If QB Deshaun Watson remains healthy for a full season, there’s no telling what the Texans are capable of accomplishing.

4. Indianapolis Colts

QB Andrew Luck is back and the Colts finally have a good offensive line in front of him. Continue reading
