You want to count them out, but they have one of the deepest talent pools in all of baseball.

3. Pittsburgh Pirates

They would be the favorites to win the division if they weren’t in the NL Central.

4. Milwaukee Brewers

The rebuilding has begun for the Brew Crew and they will look to be contenders in two seasons.

5. Cincinnati Reds

Having Joey Votto keeps them competitive, but they need to rebuild the pitching staff.

Their chances of repeating rest solely on the bullpen being a dominant force.

2. Cleveland Indians

The starting rotation is stacked and can match up with any in baseball.

3. Detroit Tigers

An offseason was spent finally remaking the bullpen.

4. Minnesota Twins

They peaked earlier than most expected. Now there are some expectations to compete for a postseason berth.

5. Chicago White Sox

Acquiring Todd Frazier might be a mute point for a team that had a lot of underachieving players last year.

It’s an even year and their rotation has been fortified for another October run.

2. Los Angeles Dodgers

Losing Zack Greinke will hurt, but their limitless payroll won’t keep them out of the trade market.

3. Arizona Diamondbacks

They were the winners of the offseason, but it will be interesting to see how it plays out for a 162 game season.

4. Colorado Rockies

Their offense will be the main reason why they’ll remain competitive this year.

5. San Diego Padres

A simple quick fix is what they’re looking for after a disastrous 2015 season.

The upstart Astros with a legitimate closer should vid for the division title.

Health will always be a huge factor for them and a healthy Yu Darvish is the prime example of that.

3. Los Angeles Angels

They’ll go back to basics with pitching, defense and a return to playing small ball.

4. Seattle Mariners

They’ve cleaned house from top to bottom. They’ll need another year to get things in order.

5. Oakland Athletics

With payroll limitations and a football stadium as their home, another year in the cellar seems in order.
