1. San Francisco Giants

It’s an even year and their rotation has been fortified for another October run.

2. Los Angeles Dodgers

Losing Zack Greinke will hurt, but their limitless payroll won’t keep them out of the trade market.

3. Arizona Diamondbacks

They were the winners of the offseason, but it will be interesting to see how it plays out for a 162 game season.

4. Colorado Rockies

Their offense will be the main reason why they’ll remain competitive this year.

5. San Diego Padres

A simple quick fix is what they’re looking for after a disastrous 2015 season.

Player to Watch: OF Yasiel Puig Los Angeles Dodgers

If they can get the instant burst of energy that he provided two years ago, then there shouldn’t be any problems this year. With a new manager aboard, things could be a ticking time bomb with Puig being what he was last season.

Best Acquisition: P Zack Greinke Arizona Diamondbacks

He instantly puts Arizona in the conversation for a playoff spot. If he had stayed in Los Angeles, it would have made the Dodgers the division favorites. He’s that good.

New Kid on the Block: SS Corey Seager Los Angeles Dodgers

His sampling size last year proved to everyone that he is ready to play for a full season. The Dodgers patience has paid off and they were wise not to include him in any big splashy trades.
