Week 17 Review of the NFL

Don’t Sleep On Them

They took care of the Tennessee Titans with ease on Sunday night. This was coming from a team that started the season 1-5. Now they clinched the last playoff spot in the AFC. If they continue their hot streak and defeat the Houston Texans, they’ll be giving the Kansas City Chiefs a lot to think about for their potential matchup. With that said I am jumping the gun a bit. The Colts are better than you think. Sure with Andrew Luck back and playing at his elite level, it’s their defense that is playing beyond expectations. That bodes well going into January.

They Made It

Well, they needed some help and they got some. The Eagles took care of business and they got some help from the Chicago Bears who defeated the Minnesota Vikings. Now Philadelphia will look to return the favor as they go to Chicago to play the Bears in the Wild Card Round. Nick Foles isn’t playing at an elite level like his Super Bowl performance from last year. However, the team has responded to the challenge are playing their best football of the season. Don’t count them out until the final whistle.

No Repeat

Baltimore sure made it interesting as they defeated the Cleveland Browns in a close contest at home. They cashed in their ticket to the playoffs and also kept the Pittsburgh Steelers out with the win. The Ravens avoided another Week 17 disaster and will have a rematch against the Los Angeles Chargers in the Wild Card Round. Don’t think it will be as easy the second go round for the Ravens. As I’m sure the Chargers will adjust accordingly and focus on containing the rushing attack of Baltimore. As it stands the Ravens are in and their arch rivals in Pittsburgh are left wondering what happened.
