1. Toronto Blue Jays

Some question marks in the pitching staff will be overlooked thanks to their scary good lineup.

2. Boston Red Sox

Getting a legitimate closer and an ace in the rotation puts them back into the contender category.

3. New York Yankees

They’re one injury in the lineup and/or rotation away from struggling mightily.

4. Baltimore Orioles

They also have a good lineup, but their pitching staff has far too many question marks.

5. Tampa Bay Rays

Pitching is something they have plenty of, but their lineup has always struggled to keep pace within the division.

Player to Watch: 3B Josh Donaldson Toronto Blue Jays

A repeat of his 2015 MVP season would almost guarantee Toronto another postseason berth and a possibility of a World Series appearance.

Best Acquisition: P Craig Kimbrel Boston Red Sox

A lot has been said about signing David Price, but going out and getting one of the game’s best closers was a stroke of genius. Boston stands to benefit from his 40-save potential.

New Kid on the Block: OF Aaron Judge New York Yankees

Because of his size he might not stay in the outfield for his entire career, but he should have no trouble maximizing his power potential at Yankee Stadium.
