NFC South

Standard

1. Atlanta Falcons

Until someone steps up in the NFC, the Falcons are the team to beat.

2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

If the defense realizes its potential and they can consistently run the ball, the Bucs will be back in the playoffs.

3. Carolina Panthers

Getting Christian McCaffrey was the right move, but can they keep Cam Newton upright this year?

4. New Orleans Saints

This could be the last year we see Sean Payton and Drew Brees together in the Bayou. Continue reading

NFC North

Standard

1. Green Bay Packers

Aside from a shortage of reliable pass-rushers, this team doesn’t have many flaws with Aaron Rodgers at the helm.

2. Minnesota Vikings

A full offseason with Sam Bradford will do wonders for some cohesiveness on offense.

3. Detroit Lions

As long as Matthew Stafford stays on his feet, the Lions can’t be counted out of winning games.

4. Chicago Bears

With everything that went wrong last year, there’s still some hope that with a little luck they could get to that .500 mark. Continue reading

NFC East

Standard

1. Dallas Cowboys

Last year wasn’t a fluke and if they can stay somewhat consistent on defense, they’ll repeat as division champs.

2. New York Giants

Their defense is the best in the division. Now they just need Eli Manning to throw less than 16 INTs.

3. Philadelphia Eagles

Carson Wentz had some bumps in the road last year, but with a better supporting cast things should be easier this year.

4. Washington Redskins

If there’s no balance on offense, eventually opponents will figure out how to stop Kirk Cousins. Continue reading

AFC West

Standard

1. Oakland Raiders

They are a top choice to contend with the Patriots and Steelers for the AFC crown.

2. Denver Broncos

With a new coaching staff the defense won’t be tampered with, but the offense will need some work.

3. Kansas City Chiefs

There isn’t enough depth/talent at key positions for them to stay in contention.

4. Los Angeles Chargers

A change in scenery will have them flying under the radar, but they are talented enough to finish near the .500 mark. Continue reading

AFC South

Standard

1. Tennessee Titans

They nearly got into the playoffs last year. This is their leap year with Marcus Mariota.

2. Houston Texans

Without question their defense will be the reason why they’ll be in contention.

3. Indianapolis Colts

The health of Andrew Luck hangs over their chances of taking this division from everyone else.

4. Jacksonville Jaguars

With Tom Coughlin back in charge of the front office, it’ll take a bit longer for the Jaguars to return to contention. Continue reading
