8 In A Row

They boast the best defense in the league this season, but they’ve had three different quarterbacks start a game for them this year. Usually that’s a bad sign, but not for the San Francisco 49ers. They are currently in the midst of an 8-game winning streak and with the Las Vegas Raiders and the Arizona Cardinals as their last two opponents it could be a 10-game winning streak. Their current quarterback Brock Purdy is passing every test opposing teams have thrown at him so far. There will be more no doubt as they approach the playoffs. For now just marvel at how this is being done and wonder why it doesn’t happen more often.

That Shouldn’t Have Happened

I didn’t even realize it until the game was over. Matt Ryan was the losing quarterback of another epic collapse. He was the quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons back when they blew a 28-3 lead in Super Bowl 51. Now he is apart of the biggest comeback win in NFL history with the Minnesota Vikings beating Ryan and the Indianapolis Colts in overtime. The Colts were winning 33-0 at halftime. I pretty much had written this game off when it was 30-0. The game was still on in the background, but I didn’t get back into it until I was made aware of the Vikings efforts when they were down by 8. Too many Matt Ryan 3 and outs and an awful display by the Colts defense are why the Vikings came back in this game. Minnesota also showed that they are a flawed team by the way they played in the first half. Either way the result of this game shouldn’t have happened.

Can They Shock The Football World?

There is a possibility that the Jacksonville Jaguars could be in the playoffs by winning their division. It’s no secret that the AFC South has been awful this year. With the Jaguars dominating win against Tennessee this past week, they are in position to clinch the division title. This doesn’t mean that the Jaguars are going to win the rest of their games. They play host to the Dallas Cowboys and play the Jets in New York. But they also play the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans for their last two games of the season. If the Jaguars do shock the football world, you heard it here first.
