1. Cleveland Indians

A catastrophic amount of injuries looks to be the only way they don’t make another World Series run.

2. Minnesota Twins

Their surprise 2017 season was no fluke and they brought in some valuable help to make a run at Cleveland.

3. Chicago White Sox

The youth movement is in full swing and they have some nice pieces that are coming into form.

4. Detroit Tigers

Aside from Miguel Cabrera and Michael Fulmer, there isn’t a lot to be excited about.

5. Kansas City Royals

Losing Eric Hosmer and Lorenzo Cain has really put a damper on their outlook for 2018. Continue reading →

2017 MLB All-Star Teams

For the 87th year of the Midsummer Classic, baseball turns its sights to Marlins Park in Miami, Florida. This will be the first MLB All-Star game played at the Miami Marlins new ballpark. It was first opened back in 2012. Now every year there is always a lot of discussion and some of it a little dated about how the teams are put together. No system will ever be perfect. Fans don’t always get it right and managers won’t either. The fact that the players are able to vote for participants was a great choice and they know who is deserving. Regardless of who should or shouldn’t be in the game lets just accept that the best players will always be involved one way or another. Having a 3-1 series lead last year, only to see it disappear will take a long time to overcome. They’re still the team to beat in the AL.

2. Kansas City Royals

This could very well be the last time they’ll be contenders with the current group of players from the 2015 World Series team.

3. Detroit Tigers

Being hamstrung by huge salary commitments have kept Detroit from making major roster moves.

4. Minnesota Twins

It wasn’t the best year for this group, but having the likes of Dozier and Buxton aren’t bad building blocks going forward.
