This could be another scenario where one team that is in the midst of a long title drought has the chance to end it. While the other can simply win their first title in the franchise’s history. That is what lies before both the Dodgers and Astros respectively. Los Angeles hasn’t won a World Series since 1988 and that was their last appearance in the fall classic. Houston last appeared in the World Series in 2005 when they were apart of the National League. Both were considered the two best teams in baseball throughout the season. 2016 World Series Preview
StandardThis is that dream scenario for one of these teams. Someone will end their title drought when it’s all said and done. The Chicago Cubs haven’t won a World Series since 1908. The Cleveland Indians haven’t won since 1948. For both of them this has been a long time coming. The ‘lovable losers’ in Chicago haven’t seen their team in a World Series since 1945. Cleveland recently had their title drought end with the Cavaliers winning a NBA championship in June. Now the Indians will look to capitalize on that momentum and bring home a World Series to match.
