Standard

1. Houston Texans

They are taking advantage of the rookie contract of QB C.J. Stroud to bolster the rest of the roster for a Super Bowl run.

2. Jacksonville Jaguars

There was no doubt that they would extend QB Trevor Lawrence. The question now is can he live up to that extension going forward?

3. Indianapolis Colts

It remains to be seen if QB Anthony Richardson can stay healthy to live up to his potential.

4. Tennessee Titans

They could surprise some folks this season, but that will depend on the development of QB Will Levis under new head coach Brian Callahan.

Standard

1. Baltimore Ravens

When the time comes in the playoffs, will they actually use RB Derrick Henry or will they forget that he’s there?

2. Cincinnati Bengals

The health of their quarterback matters more to the Bengals than any franchise in the league.

3. Cleveland Browns

If QB Deshaun Watson has another subpar or injury shortened season, the grumblings will be louder about how Cleveland got fleeced in trading for him.

4. Pittsburgh Steelers

The quest to stay above .500 continues with new quarterbacks and a new offensive coordinator.

Standard

1. Buffalo Bills

The chances are dwindling that they will win a fifth consecutive division title, but with a healthy Josh Allen at quarterback it puts them ahead of the rest of the division.

2. New York Jets

They want to win not just a division title, but a Super Bowl title. This will be their best chance to do it with what they hope is a full healthy season from Aaron Rodgers.

3. Miami Dolphins

A massive extension for QB Tua Tagovailoa cinches the fact that Miami is all in for Tua. If he can cut down on the interceptions they could push for potentially hosting a playoff game instead of being left out in the cold.

4. New England Patriots

If you thought last season was rough. Patience is needed for the roster to take shape, but does owner Robert Kraft have that kind of patience?

To Be The Best, You Have To Beat The Best

Mahomes also ran for 66 yards and the Chiefs had more rushing yards than the 49ers (130-110). However, this game was won by the Chiefs defense.

Super Bowl LVIII

Standard

It was only four years ago that we saw the Kansas City Chiefs score 21 unanswered points in the 4th quarter of Super Bowl LIV (54) to defeat the San Francisco 49ers. Thus began the current dynasty of the Chiefs who are now in their 4th Super Bowl in the last five seasons. For the 49ers, this will be their 8th Super Bowl appearance and they’ll be getting a rematch of sorts against Kansas City. The Niners will have to contend with the same coach and quarterback combo of Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes. As well as the likes of defensive lineman Chris Jones who single handedly shut down their offense in that fourth quarter four years ago. Kansas City faces the same 49ers head coach in Kyle Shanahan, but with a different quarterback in Brock Purdy and a different running back in Christian McCaffrey. There are a few other players that were involved in that Super Bowl in Miami, but for this one in Las Vegas the new ones will be looking to make an impact for their respective teams. Let’s see how this one will play out.
