Will they or won’t they trade Troy Tulowitzki and/or Carlos Gonzalez while they still have value?

Their depth is still staggering as they retool for another World Series run.

2. Pittsburgh Pirates

A fan base is craving for more October baseball.

3. Chicago Cubs

Joe Maddon being named manager and signing Jon Lester were two moves that put them in the right direction.

4. Milwaukee Brewers

A lot was going right for them last year, but they sputtered late and it doesn’t look any better for them this year.

1. Washington Nationals

The best rotation in all of baseball has to get them to a World Series appearance.

2. New York Mets

With the return of Matt Harvey that puts the Mets in front for second place.

3. Miami Marlins

If Jose Fernandez was healthy from the start I would say the Marlins could push for the top Wild Card spot.

4. Atlanta Braves

A total upheaval with a new front office in place to prepare for the move to Cobb County.

5. Philadelphia Phillies

It will be an interesting season for them. Mainly to see how much they get for Howard, Utley and Hamels. Continue reading →

Without a repeat of last years injury issues in their rotation, they should remain atop the division.

2. Seattle Mariners

An infusion of power supplied by Nelson Cruz puts the Mariners into a possible Wild Card spot.

3. Oakland Athletics

Their wild offseason has them seeing a lot of new faces, but that shouldn’t take them out of the postseason equation.

4. Texas Rangers

Losing Yu Darvish will hurt more than you think.

5. Houston Astros

All the chips are pushed to the table to put a winner together.

An impressive offseason will put Chicago into postseason contention.

The loss of James Shields will hurt, but they are still contenders with that lineup and bullpen.

They have some key pieces in place to surprise some in a possible Wild Card berth.
